Join our next online Community Conversation event on Friday 12 June at 12 noon about outdoor fire safety this summer. Full information and how to join is available on our website.

We’ll be sharing the insight and ideas behind our upcoming campaign, which focuses on reducing preventable garden fires linked to BBQs, fire pits and outdoor burning.

This session is an opportunity for residents, community groups, local organisations and partners to come together to discuss summer fire risks, share experiences and behaviours we commonly see during warmer weather, and help shape how we communicate safety messages across Devon and Somerset.

Most summer fires don’t start with danger – they start with distraction. We want to explore how we can encourage simple, realistic behaviour changes that help people stay safe while still enjoying summer outdoors.
