Welcome to Alwington

Alwington is an English civil parish within the district of Torridge and the county of Devon

Occupying a stunning part of the beautiful North Devon Heritage coast, the Parish of Alwington covers an area straddling the A39 road known as the Atlantic Highway. It stretches from the coast towards the River Yeo and includes the hamlets of Fairy Cross, Ford (with its quaintly-named Knotty Corner), Alwington and Woodtown. It also includes the privately-owned Portledge Estate, once home to the Pine-Coffin family.
